Requirements-Driven. Unbiased. As a requirements-driven Storage and Virtualization Solutions Architecture firm, VeriStor leads each customer engagement with a requirements analysis of the customer's business and technology objectives as well as the current infrastructure and existing assets. In most cases, this analysis is provided free of charge as a part of the VeriStor engagement and sales process. In situations or environments that demand more detailed analysis, VeriStor regularly conducts full-scale storage and server infrastructure assessments as a paid service to the customer, with specific, agreed-upon deliverables. More often, VeriStor's high-level analysis for storage and server virtualization solution design can be done quickly and efficiently, and provided free of charge. VeriStor believes strongly in the strength and value of it's solutions and is willing to invest time and resources to understand our customers' requirements in detail to provide the most appropriate solution recommendation. Initial ReviewFor Storage Solution Architecture, the engagement will generally begin with a VeriStor Storage Architecture Review and Recommendation Session. In this free session, VeriStor Storage Architects meet with technical and management representatives to review and document the customer's storage environment, discuss business and technical objectives, share industry and technology updates and make initial recommendations. These these initial sessions are typically 1-3 Hours and nearly always prove to be an educational and productive discussion with no risk or commitment on the customer's behalf. For Server Virtualization Architecture, a similar initial review session format is followed, often alongside an associated storage infrastructure review session. In addition, VeriStor can then execute a VMWare Capacity Planner Assessment (PDF - 204kb) of the existing server infrastructure. This agent-less collection and analysis tool will quickly identify the servers that are candidates for virtualization, expose current server resource ineffeciencies, size the appropriate virtualization infrastructure and generate a detailed return-on-investment (ROI) estimate. Solution DesignOnce the initial Review / Assessment information has been gathered, VeriStor Solution Architects will work as a team (along with VeriStor's portfolio of certified vendor partners) to identify the perfect mix of hardware, software and services to meet the specified requirements and business objectives. VeriStor communicates with the customer throughout this process, making sure the solution exactly meets expectations. Unlike most VARs and integrators that represent only a small number of manufacturers, VeriStor's broad 'Palette' of hardware and software components allow our Architects the flexibility to select the very best products available in the industry for the the problem at hand. Hands-on Demonstration and TestAs part of the process, VeriStor invites customers to the VeriStor Labs facilities to get hands-on exposure to the identified turn-key solution. In many cases, VeriStor will create entire test configurations for customers and provide extended on-site and remote access for further test and evaluation. If necessary, VeriStor can also arrange for on-site Proof of Concept and Evaluation systems. Once the system is purchased, either through lease or direct-purchase, the engagement is taken over by the VeriStor Professional Services group for Project Management and Implementation & Training.
