Virtual Infrastructure (Server and Desktop Virtualization)

Server Virtualization and Storage Virtualization technologies are together delivering significant gains in efficiency, functionality and flexibility to today's data centers. A truly successful Server or Desktop Virtualization deployment is heavily dependent on the underlying storage infrastructure. VeriStor integrates the best of both technologies into complete virtual infrastructure environments for our customers.

VeriStor has extensive experience in the design, installation and support of turn-key VMware Server and Desktop Virtualization environments as well as advanced point-solutions (backup/recovery, replication/continuity, management/monitoring) for existing VMware installations.

VeriStor is a VMware Premier Partner (the highest level of VMware Partnership), a VMware Authorized Consultant (VAC), and also holds seats on both the VMware Partner Advisory Council (PAC) and Partner Technical Advisory Board (PTAB)

In addition to basic initial server consolidation projects, VeriStor specializes in advanced applications of VMware technology, such as:  Site Recovery Manager (SRM), Virtual Desktop (VMView), Advanced Data Protection and Replication solutions.  VeriStor is also a VMware ESX 4.0 / vSphere Beta Partner and is already providing HealthCheck, Assessment, and Professional Services to our customers around the forthcoming migrations to this new and exciting platform.

VeriStor maintains multiple ESX 3.5 and 4.0 environments in the VeriStor Labs facility for demo, test and proof-of-concept for our customers, including full functionality of all services, including: Site Recovery Manage (SRM), Lab Manager, Lifecycle Manager, and VMView (on disk and solid state).

Advanced Data Protection and Recovery for Physical and Virtual Environments

Data protection and recovery technologies are changing rapidly, and the focus has shifted from 'Backup Operations' to 'Recovery and Continuity'. With today's data set sizes and uptime requirements, it is no longer sufficient (or in many cases, even possible) to attempt to protect data using the traditional Hardware and Software 'Backup' solutions. VeriStor specializes in Advanced Data Protection and Recovery solutions that reduce backup data set sizes, provide much faster (often immediate) recovery and, in many cases, completely eliminate backup windows.

Replication and Continuity for Physical and Virtual Environments

Effective Off-site Data Replication and Continuity Solutions have long been overly complex and expensive to implement, so much so that many organizations unable to justify the costs are left exposed to potentially devastating business interruptions and data loss. Today, solutions exist that can provide effective off-site replication and even failover/continuity relatively simply and at a fraction of the cost of solutions from just a few years ago. Where a typical enterprise data replication solution might have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars (or millions) and taken weeks or months to implement and test, solutions are now available for a fraction of the cost, that can be implemented in days...for even the largest environments.

Archiving and Compliance

The need for Digital Archiving of enterprise back-office data has exploded due to two fundamental drivers: Data Management and Legal/Compliance Requirements.

Studies show that in most organizations, 80% or more of data has not been accessed in over 60 days...yet this data continues to live in production servers and on expensive primary storage systems, consuming unnecessary capacity, bandwidth and process cycles. VeriStor can provide systems that integrate easily and provide administrators with policy-based control of where specific records are stored at different times in the data or information 'lifecycle'. These systems pay for themselves nearly immediately, by reducing storage hardware and software costs and freeing up tier-1 storage, CPU, and network resources to better service the active dataset.

VeriStor also provides archiving solutions for E-Discovery, Legal, and Compliance Applications. Thankfully, there are now a variety of cost-effective solutions designed to help increase the performance and response times for remote applications, dramatically reduce bandwidth costs, and increase data security.
